Stump Grinding

A stump grinder bites away at the stump of wood that is left after a tree has been chopped down. All stump processors utilize an amazing, pivoting sharp edge that tears into the wood as it turns. The saw edge teeth grind the stump wood into wood chips or sawdust. The user directs the sharp edge over the whole stump as the edge lessens the wood to chips, and brings the stump down to soil even level.

Stump processors are incredible machines that look like a lawnmower and a round saw had a child together. They’re intended to be moved up to the stump in order to crush it into little pieces.

There are other methods of stump removal, such as drilling holes in the stump and filling them up with material to speed up the wood rotting process.  Rotted wood is easier to break apart.
